SAP sets up council for sustainability Print E-mail

SAP India has launched Sustainability Executive Advisory Council (SEAC) by bringing together a select community of top executives, IT leaders, and sustainability champions in India.

SEAC will provide SAP customers, peers, policy makers, thought leaders, and experts with a framework to keep abreast of business strategies and the latest sustainability technology developments.

"Sustainability has an essential business imperative as it helps companies drive profitability, however it requires a collaborative corporate effort. SAP views sustainability holistically, encompassing economic, social and environmental dimensions. India is the first country in the South-Asian region to launch SEAC. The council is designed to provide a mutual learning experience between sustainability leaders," said Peter Graf, SAP Chief Sustainability Officer & Executive VP of Sustainability Solutions.

SEAC will provide C-level executives and cross-industry participants with the opportunity to network and collaborate, gain insight into new technologies and SAP strategic initiatives, and learn through leading member company best practices. The council will also help participants gain maximum value from their SAP sustainability solutions, according to SAP.

"Sustainability should be at the heart of any organization that wants to secure long-term growth and success for itself and its customers. I believe the foundation of a sustainable economy is already ingrained in the Indian psyche and traditional business practices. In India, SEAC will provide an excellent vehicle to drive the sustainability agenda for businesses. SAP is honored to take a leadership position around the critical objective of sustainability both in India and globally," said Peter Gartenberg, Managing Director, SAP Indian Subcontinent.
