The HP row in Kerala continues to remain unresolved.

As the latest development, All Kerala Information Technology Association has written to its members advising them to ban purchase and sale of all HP products in the state.

In an open letter to its members, AKITDA mentions:
"It's been ten days since we started our agitation against the HP's new sales policy. Till this date Hp has not come out with a workable solution. If HP thinks that they can do whatever they want without considering the channel community, we will prove it wrong..."

Last month, AKITDA sent out a notice to HP's national distributor Redington requesting the disty to stop billing to non-IT RD partner of HP. As the next step, the association is now issuing similar notices to Ingram Micro, Rashi Peripherals, and Savex Computers, the other national distributors of HP.

The association appeals to the distributors in the letter:
"We are fighting for our survival and we request you to show solidarity to us and prove that you are associates of IT Dealers in Kerala and not a Vendor who had betrayed his partners."

The letter has been signed by Jyothi Sankar, State General Secretary, Suresh Kumar, State President, and Vinod Kumar, State Treasurer for AKITDA.

A copy of the communication by AKITDA can be downloaded from here.
