Select Technology, a division of Wep Solutions India, has bagged the IBM Global Services’ business partner sales leadership award for Asia Pacific region for its performance during 2008. 

According to Raghu Setlur, General Manager, Select Technologies, "The award, which carries a trophy and a certificate from IBM, is a move towards attaining global recognition for its effective distribution and go-to-market strategy.”

With regard to IBM solutions, Select has recorded a 21 per cent year-on-year growth. Setlur maintained, “Our strategy was to target top verticals like BFSI, telecom, IT/ITeS, and government, through our focused 23 channel partners with IBM solutions, including IBM Intrusion Protection (IPS), Intrusion detection solutions.”

According to Select, the company has made several value additions to the IBM partnership, in the form collaborative teamwork with IBM’s executives, dedicated executives to drive IBM products and setting-up technical proof of concept and solution designing centers to show case its products and solutions. “We have dedicated feet-on-street across eight offices for IBM products, two RMA stocks and support centers, besides latest demo-gear investments,” said Setlur.

He pointed out that the channel partners have been repetitively positioning and winning with affordable IBM ISS security threat mitigation solutions which ensure preemptive protection against a wide variety of attacks, internet nuisances, including hackers, worms, viruses, spam, spyware and data security solutions, to safeguard valuable information while preserving accessibility.
